Re: FINDUS Crispy Pancakes
I remember when they were an exciting novelty. (Cooking, to my Mum, was opening a tin or a packet, and heating the contents.)

Ha, had £2 battered sausage and chips for dinner last week from my local chippie. I give the parrot the best quality fresh fruit and veg every day though.

Re: FINDUS Crispy Pancakes
they were a staple for me as a student in Liverpool on the few occasions I didnt go down the chippie for a £1 'Sausage dinner'; chips, sausages, peas, onions and gravy.

I know, West Ham have bled me dry. I did enjoy eating the Goblin suet pudding, with mash and frozen peas. I may buy another now I've been reminded of them.

I remember when eating these, that the outside of them were deceptively just warm, whilst the stuff inside was the heat of molten lava and it used to take the top of your mouth off.

same schoolboy error, pretty much every time I had them.

They still sell the tinned Fray Bentos pies in Iceland, Spar and other such quality establishments. The have a flaky pastry crust

I've consumed a Goblin suet meat pudding in the last 18 months so they are still around.

Re: FINDUS Crispy Pancakes
I'm partial to heating a can of STAGG Chilli for topping nachos. Decent.

The french have some amazing tinned meat meals. They all smell like dogfood when you open them, but taste delicious. Cassoulet etc.

Let me test you all with another offering:

Fray Bentos Steak and Kidney pies?

You know - the ones in a tin.

Love 'em or loathe 'em?

Re: FINDUS Crispy Pancakes
I very much doubt it, Monkey.

But to feed them offal when they would not choose to eat it would be deceitful.
